Stop saying Cuvée 800—say Hop!

04 Jul 2024

Say hello to Val-Dieu Hop! The taste you love, in a new light.

The year 2024 marks a turning point for one of our most popular beers. Formerly known as Cuvée 800, this iconic beer, brewed to celebrate the 800th anniversary of Val-Dieu Abbey, is getting a fresh new look and adopting a new name: Hop.

Why this change?

This name change is intended to better reflect the spirit and unique characteristics of our beer, while making it easier to recognise on the market.

Dressed in a spring green, Val-Dieu Hop perfectly illustrates the hoppy, fresh and light character of our beer.

By adopting an international, friendly term, we make it easier to immediately understand the type of beer: a hoppy blonde, ideal for any convivial moment.

When tradition meets innovation!

The new Val-Dieu Hop retains everything that made Cuvée 800 such a success. Produced using our traditional “Dry Hopping” method, it keeps its distinctive hoppy aromas, thanks to the addition of real hop flowers that enrich the beer with their essential oils.

Val-Dieu Hop is also bottle-conditioned, ensuring optimal freshness and quality.

New Look, Same Perfection

Rest assured, our beer recipe remains unchanged! We hope this new identity will enhance your enjoyment when tasting our beer. Distribution of our Val-Dieu Hop has begun, and you will soon be able to find it at our various drinks retailers and stockists in the region. Cheers!

To mark the launch of Val-Dieu Hop, we have decided to treat you! We are offering you the chance to win a crate of 24 bottles of Hop and 6 Val-Dieu 18 cl glasses. Enter right here!
