A state-of-the-art brewery, a tasting room, a revamped shop and…
Val-Dieu Brewery is pleased to present the completion of its project to expand and redevelop its facilities, in close collaboration with the “Walloon Heritage Agency”.
It was a colossal challenge for our teams to integrate such brewing infrastructure into a listed heritage site. Despite the many logistical constraints, we wanted to contribute fully to enhancing the Abbey site, and we are proud to have achieved this, without any financial assistance or subsidy, explains Alain Pinckaers, CEO and founder of Val-Dieu Brewery. In addition, we now have cutting-edge equipment—unprecedented for a craft brewery—which will enable us to further improve the quality of our beers and make the most of our team’s expertise, adds Alain Pinckaers.

New infrastructure, new opportunities.
These facilities will enable the Brewery to brew 40,000 hectolitres of beer per year, thereby doubling its production capacity while preserving the soul and authenticity of a beer brewed at the heart of a living Abbey.
We took this opportunity to create a new visitor route. These guided tours will enable Belgian and international visitors to understand the brewing process and discover the Brewery’s many secrets, says Emeline Gilliquet, Director of Val-Dieu Abbey.
In the Abbey’s former farm, beneath magnificent wooden roof trusses, a welcoming space dedicated to tasting Val-Dieu beers will delight beer lovers’ taste buds.
In the shop, the full Val-Dieu range, souvenirs and local products will be available all year round.
Opposite, located in the former stables, the “Casse-Croûte de l’Abbaye du Val-Dieu” restaurant has been fully renovated. The aim was to give this restaurant a fresh new look, and it now perfectly combines modernity with the building’s character. Work was also carried out on the outdoor areas, with a magnificent terrace fully refurnished, as well as bike racks with charging points for e-bikes.
